While Cervato stands as its own brand and experience, it was founded by the team behind Timber Hill Winery, a Wisconsin winery known for its welcoming hospitality and expressive wines. This connection allows Cervato to offer exclusive wines alongside thoughtfully chosen selections from near and far.
Whether you’re stopping in for a single glass or settling in for an evening with friends, Cervato is meant to feel approachable, intentional, and distinctly Madison.

Cervato was created from a simple idea: wine is best enjoyed when it brings people together.
For Amanda Stefl, owner of Timber Hill Winery, that belief has guided every step of the journey. Timber Hill Winery was built as a place where guests could slow down, feel welcome, and enjoy wine without pretense—whether they were longtime wine lovers or simply curious to learn more.
As Timber Hill grew, so did the desire to create a space beyond the vineyard—one that fit naturally into everyday life. Madison, with its vibrant food scene and strong sense of community, felt like the right next step. And when the opportunity arose to become part of the Madison Public Market, the vision for Cervato came into focus.
Cervato is an extension of Timber Hill’s values, reimagined for an urban setting. It’s a place designed for lingering—a glass of wine after work, shared plates with friends, an easy stop that turns into an evening. While Cervato stands as its own brand and experience, it carries the same commitment to thoughtful wine, genuine hospitality, and connection.
Opening at the Madison Public Market allows Cervato to be part of a larger community of local makers, food lovers, and neighbors—bringing the heart of the winery into the rhythm of the city.

Join the Timber Hill Wine Club
You pay one low monthly rate and get a bottle or two (or 4 depending on your membership level) and tastings, as well as exclusive club privileges, such as being the first to taste the newest wines, birthday rewards, discounts on every additional bottle purchased, Club only events, and more. The bottles you accrue do not expire, so if you can’t make it in for a month or two, you will just continue to rack up bottles until you come in.
